The Social Lab Experiment with getting social.
The Social Lab designs experiential gatherings engineered by community researchers, data collectors and curators who believe everyone deserves the opportunity to connect.
We’re a sneaky bunch. Every event we host is an experiment in play, creativity, and the quiet art of helping strangers become the version of themselves they want to show up in the world as more of.
There’s always a way to connect. It’s time to bring your community vision to life.
Hope This Helps

The Collective Problem.
The world is more connected than ever.
And lonelier than ever.
People move between work, home, and their phones. Do you see what’s missing?
The third spaces (playgrounds, community centers, malls etc.) where connection used to happen naturally are disappearing. Social skills that were once developed through simple, repeated human contact have declined, significantly. Saying “hello” to an oncoming stranger is now a cultural phenomenon (e.g being “Cayman Kind”). The phone scroll has replaced the “look around and smell the flowers” stroll.
The Social Lab exists because this is fixable. One experience at a time.
What We Do
We design experiences backed by research and data.
Every Social Lab gathering includes three things:
A Connection Tool
A structured, low-pressure device that gives people a reason to engage — a bingo card, a prompt, a game. Something that makes approaching a stranger feel less like a risk and more like a fun experiment.
A Learning Partner
A guest individual or organisation that brings a skill, a craft, or a perspective to the room. Something worth learning. Something worth staying for.
Intentional Design
The space, the flow, the details — everything is curated so that connection is not an accident. It is the point.
We host our own pop-ups and share ideas for you to host your own events, too.

The Social Lab is built for people,
and organisations wanting to invest in community.
Corporate social responsibility is evolving. Stakeholders, employees, and communities want to see organisations show up in real spaces, with real people, for real reasons.
The Social Lab gives your organisation a vehicle to do accomplish that.
Stay Close
The Social Lab is building in public. Every step of the journey — the experiments, the events, the lessons — shared here and through our newsletter.
If you want to be part of what we are building, now is the time to say so.
